Inspired by Nature and Wild

I am knitting a cardigan inspired by feathers and animal bones that I found out on an island in the archipelago. It will be quite Pocahontaesque with lots of different motif in brown and black.

The colours of the yarns are quite close to the feathers I found.

I am using Garnstudio Drops Nepal yarn because of its softness and high quality.

I am knitting in the round on 4mm needles and making up the motifs as I go along. I think you could call me an improvisational knitter because I don't usually have a ready pattern and plan for the final result when starting.
With these bright colours I intend to make bracelets.
Knitting bag with ongoing projects.

Enchanted forest and Orchis maculáta.

Looks like our cat is laughing but in reality she is trying to chew on some grass, silly cat...

Pattern for Audrey cardigan

The pattern for the Audrey cardigan is available to download in my Ravelry store, you can also get it

A cardigan named Audrey

The Audrey cardigan is knitted with Garnstudio Drops Nepal and Andes both in cream white. I used some lace knitting stitches by Hitomi Shida from the book Knitting Patterns Book 250, but the design and pattern for the cardigan is by me. My sister is wearing the cardigan in the beautiful landscapes of Algarve.

The sleeves and and neckline have a trimming consisting of a purl edging and bobbles.

The buttons and the edges are crocheted using the Andes yarn which is more bulky than Nepal.

The backside of the cardigan is very decorative with the intricate lace knitting pattern. I find that it is best to use lighter colours when knitting lace so that the shapes and structures become more visible.

A frog hopped into the pool while I was taking photos!

Knitting a cardigan with lace

I am currently knitting a cardigan with intricate lace. I found the stitch pattern through a great site with many different lace stitches: www.laceknittingstitch.blogspot.com
The ones I chose to use are from the book Knitting Patterns Book 250 by Hitomi Shida (lace knitting stitch #14 and #49).

Backside of the cardigan.
.
Yarn used is Garnstudio Drops Nepal, I am knitting with 4 mm so that the lace doesn't become too lose.

For the sleeves I added a strand of bobbles to make it more interesting.

The pattern for this cardigan is from my own imagination, this time with flowers and once again crocheted buttons. I used Garnstudio Drops yarns, Nepal in green and violet, Alpaca in dark red, the pink yarn is from Hopeasäie Aada. The cardigan is extrasoft and warm, perfect for chilly summer evenings!

Ännu för några dagar sedan var det bara garnnystan... alltid lika roligt när något blir färdigt och man får se hur ens idéer blir till liv!
